Free Literacy Assessment and Evaluation for K-12 Students at the Buffalo State Literacy Center

The Buffalo State Literacy Center, Bacon Hall 227, will offer free literacy assessment and evaluation for children of Buffalo State students, faculty, and staff in grades K–12. Sessions are on Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. or Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. There are five sessions and one parent conference. Parents receive a diagnostic report with instructional recommendations for home and school. Children who attend will be eligible for free one-on-one tutoring during the spring semester. Sessions begin September 20 (Saturdays) and October 22 (Wednesdays). Please e-mail Keli Garas-York, associate professor of elementary education and reading, to register.
