Posted: Tuesday, September 13, 2011External Evaluators Visit Campus for IF Review: Faculty Invited to Participate
All faculty members who have taught Intellectual Foundations courses are invited to attend a meeting with the external evaluators on Thursday, September 22, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Collection Study Room (first floor) as part of the IF five-year program review. The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the external evaluators to gather information about the IF program from the perspective of faculty teaching IF courses. Space is limited. R.S.V.P. to Linda Schultz, ext. 5906, by Monday, September 19.
The external evaluators are Sally Parry, associate dean for academic programs and students affairs and director of general education at Illinois State University, and Stephane Booth, associate provost for quality initiatives and curriculum at Kent State University. In addition to meeting with IF faculty, the evaluators will also meet with the associate vice president for assessment and curriculum, deans, department chairs, advisers, students, SIFOC, the College Senate Curriculum Committee, and the assistant dean for intellectual foundations.
