Explore the Winter Sky

The Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium will be offering "Wonders of Winter" January 28 through February 26. This program explores the bright stars, constellations, and deep sky wonders of the winter season. It will give you a full tour of the brightest, richest and perhaps most beautiful starfield we can view from Western New York.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the loss of space shuttle Challenger, each program begins with "T+ . . . and Counting," a commemorative look at those lost in the Challenger, Columbia, and Apollo 1 tragedies.

"Wonders of Winter" and "T+ . . . and Counting" are offered Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m., with a run time of approximately 80 minutes. Adult admission is $6, but Buffalo State faculty and staff are admitted for $4 with ID. Buffalo State students are free with ID. Please visit www.fergusonplanetarium.net or e-mail planetarium@buffalostate.edu for more information or to reserve tickets.
