Electrical Shutdown Overnight January 5: Chase, Upton, Bulger, and Cassety Halls

An electrical shutdown affecting Chase, Upton, and Cassety halls and Bulger Communication Center will take place from 10:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, to approximately 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 6. Building occupants are asked to shut down computers and peripherals before the interruption. This planned service disruption will accommodate the installation of outdoor generators for each building, which will be in place for about two weeks. This work will aid the relocation of an electrical and communications duct bank as part of the Caudell Hall renovation project.

Chase, Upton, Bulger, and Cassety will be without most electrical power and lighting during the January 5 overnight overnight period. During the two-week period from January 6 to approximately January 20, emergency generators will provide regular electrical service and allow normal use of the buildings. University Police operations will remain active in Chase Hall throughout the shutdown period.

For more information about this or other campus construction projects, please visit the Buffalo State construction website. Questions about this interruption may be e-mailed to vpfm@buffalostate.edu.
