E-Chug and E-Toke Online Alcohol- and Drug-Use Assessment Tools Available for Classroom Use

The Counseling Center and Residence Life have funded E-Chug and E-Toke, Web-based tools that allow students to assess their alcohol and drug use online. The two programs are on the Counseling Center's Web site and are free and confidential for all students. The program takes 10 to 15 minutes, and students can print out individual feedback and a list of available resources. For classroom use, students can print a Certification of Completion that will show they completed the assessment for class, but keep all their information private. Instructors who would like to take the tests to see the information that’s provided should call or e-mail Ron George, substance-abuse counselor, at ext. 4436 or georgera@buffaloste.edu to get the administrator’s code for both programs. All individual data collected is confidential, but cumulative data will be available at the end of each semester. For more information, contact George.
