Workshops offered for the spring 2023 semester include the following:

Getting Involved: Bengal Connect 101
Bengal Connect provides students with the opportunity to connect with clubs and organizations, learn about campus programs and events taking place on campus, and get involved when attending Buffalo State. An SLE staff member will come to your class or organizational meeting to review Bengal Connect and how to use the program.

Time Management
There are 168 hours each week. With classes, activities, studying, and free time, planning becomes an essential tool to get things done. This workshop will discuss time management, priority management, and goal setting.

Discover Your DiSC Style
DiSC assessments are used in thousands of organizations around the world, from sprawling government agencies and Fortune 500 companies to nonprofits and small businesses. The reason is simple: DiSC profiles help build stronger, more effective working relationships. DiSC will teach participants how to raise self-awareness, improve teamwork, and make conflict more productive. Participants take the DiSC inventory and receive their own unique self-assessment report. The Student Affairs Division has provided all participants access to a free DiSC profile assessment survey.

True Colors
In building relationships with members of your organization or team, you help others connect and recognize how personality plays a role in the overall effectiveness of the team. This interactive workshop will look at ways personality affects relationships and work styles, and provide suggestions for using these tools to create a team that works collaboratively based on individual assets.

Servant Leadership
Servant leadership begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve others. This conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead and promote the empowerment of others. Students will engage in self-assessment while exploring the 10 characteristics of servant leadership.

Transitioning Student Organization Executive Boards
The process of transitioning officers is one of the most crucial elements for a student organization. Learn about the necessary steps and resources to ensure your new executive board is prepared to take the reins and continue momentum for the year ahead.
