Advanced to the Curriculum Committee
The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee for fall 2019 review:

New Courses:
NFS 612 Nutrition Communication and Consultation. Prerequisite: NFS 405 or verification statement. Required communication competencies for the graduate dietetics student related to cultural competence, nutrition counseling, coding and billing for nutrition services, leadership, and nutrition informatics. Employs competency-based education (CBE). Offered occasionally, beginning fall 2020.

THA 339 Sounds Design for Theater. Prerequisite: THA 234 or instructor permission. Sound design and use of sound technology for theater and live performance. Students explore the aesthetics, dynamics, and technology needed to create effective sound environments for the stage. Includes mandatory attendance of live performance. Offered biannually, beginning spring 2020.

DAN 220 Ballet Technique I. Basic appreciation of the origins of classical ballet. Students develop an understanding of classical dance through instruction of ballet technique; the influential aesthetic elements that define basic ballet, a codified physicality and terminology, and cultural and historical influences. Students attend live dance performance. Offered every semester, beginning spring 2020.
