The following have been approved by the College Senate Curriculum Committee and forwarded to the president for review and approval:

FRE 301 Introduction to Contemporary Francophone Culture

Advanced to the Senate Curriculum Committee
The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the Senate Curriculum Committee for spring 2013 review and approval:

New Course:
ADE 500 Introduction to Adult Education. Prerequisite: Graduate status. Exploration of the field of adult education as it exists today in a variety of formal and nonformal settings. Examines core elements of the discipline from past, present, and future trend perspectives. Topics include evolution of the field, major providers and programs, teaching methods and planning approaches, mini-teaching delivery, and review of the literature.

Course Revision:
CWP 102 Argumentation and Research. Prerequisite: CWP 101 or approved equivalent placement (see College Writing Program website). Focus on development of academic communication and research skills. Written and oral assignments emphasize argumentation and persuasion, advanced rhetorical strategies, analysis and synthesis, and critical thinking.
