The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the Senate Curriculum Committee for fall 2012 review and approval:
New Course:
SPF 366 Cultural Proficiency and Public Achievement. Prerequisite: SOC 100. Public achievement used as framework for analyzing diverse student perspectives, opinions, and assets to identify and meet the needs of different cultural groups, thereby helping empower students to become advocates for social justice. Service-learning course.
Course Revision:
MAT 270 Discrete Mathematics. Prerequisite: Four years of high school mathematics or equivalent. Fundamental principles used in discrete mathematics. Topics include logic, mathematical induction, sets, relations, functions, permutations, combinations, recursion, and graph theory.
