Advanced to the Senate Curriculum Committee
The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the Senate Curriculum Committee for review and approval:

New Courses:
FRE 420 Literature and Society of Francophone Canada: 1700 to the Present. Prerequisites: One 300-level FRE literature course and instructor permission. Taught in French. Study of the lasting impact of French colonialism on the society, literature, and self-identity of Francophone North America.

FRE 430 Francophone African Literature in Postcolonial Context. Prerequisites: One 300-level FRE literature course and instructor permission. Taught in French. Study of the effects of colonialism on the society, culture, and self-identity of Francophone Africa.

FRE 500 Advanced Pedagogical French. Prerequisite: Graduate status or instructor permission. Taught in French. Exploration of the acquisitional, interactional, and sociocultural aspects of classroom French and French used in professional development media, complemented by a focus on the development of greater proficiency in French language and culture.
