CORRECTION APPENDED

The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the Senate Curriculum Committee for review and approval:

New Courses:
CHI 301 Chinese Conversation and Composition.Prerequisite: CHI 202. Third year, first semester Chinese. Review and practice of simple grammar concepts introduced in Chinese 101–202. Introduction to additional grammar, vocabulary, written characters, and aspects of Chinese culture. Further development of students’ existing proficiency skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension.

CHI 302 Chinese Conversation and Composition.Prerequisite: CHI 202. Third year, second semester Chinese. Review and practice of simple grammar concepts introduced in Chinese 101–202. Introduction to additional grammar, vocabulary, written characters, and aspects of Chinese culture. Further development of students’ existing proficiency skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension.

SLP 400 Language and Literacy for Speech-Language Pathologists. Prerequisites: SLP 303 and 329. Connection between language and literacy; role of the speech-language pathologist as it pertains to working with children with language-based literacy impairments; similarities and differences between spoken and written language; linguistic components required for spoken and written literacy.

The following has been approved by the Senate Curriculum Committee and forwarded to the president for review and approval:
