CUMU Learning and Sharing Virtual Series: 'Addressing Basic Needs Insecurity in College and University Students' - December 14

Please join the Civic and Community Engagement Office for the webinar "Addressing Basic Needs Insecurity in College and University Students," presented by Rashida Crutchfield from California State University, Long Beach, on Tuesday, December 14, at 1:00 p.m. This event is presented by the CUMU Learning and Sharing Virtual Series and is free to members of the Buffalo State community.

Food insecurity, housing insecurity, and homelessness are widespread among college and university students yet not always recognized or comprehensively addressed. Basic needs insecurity affects student health and well-being, academic achievement, and degree completion.

In this talk, Rashida Crutchfield will discuss strategies for understanding and addressing these issues at your own institution. Dr. Crutchfield is a nationally recognized expert on student basic needs. She led the California State University systems’ groundbreaking research on student basic needs and continues research in assessment and evaluation of emerging campus and community student supports.

This event is presented by the CUMU Learning and Sharing Virtual Series and is free to members of the Buffalo State community. Please register online for this final webinar in the series.
