Cooking Demo with Son of a Southern Chef Lazarus Lynch: February 25

Learn to make five-ingredient Sweet Potato Black Bean Chili (and get a free sample!) when Weigel Health Promotions hosts Son of a Southern Chef and former Buffalo State student Lazarus Lynch for a cooking demo on Thursday, February 25, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. (Bengal Pause) in the Campbell Student Union lobby.

Lynch is a media personality, an entrepreneur, and the owner of the brand Son of a Southern Chef. Hailing from Queens, New York, he grew up cooking in the kitchen with his father, a chef from Alabama. Together, they created a bond in the kitchen that would soon launch into a successful media enterprise. Lynch's inspiring, thoughtful, and down-to-earth approach to cooking connects him with thousands of his peers across the globe daily. Recently, he was a guest on the Food Network’s The Kitchen, where he shared his love of southern cooking. Lynch uses the tools of technology and social media as platforms to inspire his generation to cook with soul and eat with pleasure.

Food is essential for life; why not make it good?
