Constitution Day Celebration: The Potential for a Momentous Year

All members of the Buffalo State community are invited to this year's Constitution Day celebration scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Assembly Hall. Peter Yacobucci, associate professor of political science and a public law scholar, will lead a discussion of the most important cases before the U.S. Supreme Court this term, including those dealing with restrictions on free speech, affirmative action in university admissions, and abortion rights as well as other pressing constitutional issues. After introducing the cases, Yacobucci hopes to engage the community in a spirited discussion of the role of the Constitution and the court in our daily lives.
