Hoon is the scholarly communications librarian for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). Prior to joining UNCC, Hoon served as the special assistant to the provost for copyright administration at North Carolina State University and as the NCSU scholarly communication librarian for over 12 years, where she authored the TEACH Act Toolkit and achieved a national reputation for copyright expertise.
