Choreo-poem 'Black Girls’ Anthem' Comes to Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall

MJS Productions of Rochester is pleased to present Black Girls’ Anthem on Saturday, March 31, at 8:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.

Black Girls' Anthem combines music, poetry, dance, and drama to illustrate the stories of six black women. It "explores the themes of motherhood, relationships, sisterhood, love, empowerment, self-esteem, legacy, and more,” explains Melany J. Silas, the author and producer who also appears in the production. “It truly is a piece that embodies themes of empowerment, love, and an undying spirit of resilence.”

Tickets are $20 for students, $25 for general admission, and $35 for VIP seating. Tickets can be purchased at the Rockwell Hall box office or charged by phone at ext. 3005.
