Mandatory Employee Sexual Harassment Prevention Training: Available This Week

New York State enacted legislation in 2018 requiring all employers, including Buffalo State College, to ensure that their employees complete sexual harassment prevention training annually. The Equity and Campus Diversity Office has developed a 20-minute online program that meets all New York State requirements for sexual harassment prevention training. Specific information on how to access the training will be shared this week in the Daily Bulletin as well as through campus email. The training must be completed no later than Friday, October 8, 2021.

We are excited to announce that we will be using BizLibrary, an online employee training system, for the training this year. This system is used by numerous SUNY campuses and provides the ability for the college to manage all required compliance training, including sexual harassment prevention training. BizLibrary provides an efficient method for employees to complete compliance training requirements and for supervisors to manage the completion of those requirements. Beginning next year, BizLibrary will allow employees to complete annual compliance training requirements months before the deadline and also have access to their video library that will support employees’ personal and professional growth.
