Off-Campus Orientation Program

The Dean of Students and Student Life offices are sponsoring an Off-Campus Orientation program. The program will be presented twice: once on Monday, April 25, at 2:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall and then again on Thursday, April 28, during Bengal Pause in the Fireside Lounge.

This program targets commuters who do not live with their parents and who reside in neighborhoods adjacent to the college (zip codes 14222 and 14215) and is designed to inform students about:

  • The Compact For A Civil and Caring Community
  • The Buffalo State College Student Good Neighbor Pledge
  • New York State, City of Buffalo, and Erie County laws regulating tenant occupancy, noise, and alcohol consumption
  • Commuter Council and services provided by the Student Life Office
  • Behavioral expectations and the consequences for inappropriate behavior

We ask that you encourage all commuters to attend this very informative program, especially those considering getting their own apartment. For all questions regarding this program, please feel free to contact Tamara L. McMillan in the Student Life Office at ext. 4631.
