Buffalo State Policy on Religious Observances

From the Chief Diversity Officer
It is an exciting time as we begin the fall semester of the 2012–2013 academic year. As we begin the new semester, it is important to remember that the Buffalo State policy on religious observances prohibits administering evaluative examinations on Rosh Hashanah (sundown Sunday, September 16, to sundown Tuesday, September 18, 2012); Yom Kippur (sundown Tuesday, September 25, to sundown Wednesday, September 26, 2012); Sukkoth (sundown Sunday, September 30, to sundown Tuesday, October 2, 2012); Shemini Atzereth (Monday, October 8, 2012); Simchat Torah (Tuesday, October 9, 2012); and Good Friday (March 29, 2013).

For additional information on the Buffalo State policy on class attendance on religious holidays, please visit the Equity and Campus Diversity website.
