Twenty-three Buffalo State students and their friends braved frigid temperatures on Saturday, December 7, to plunge into Lake Erie to raise money for the Special Olympics. The Buffalo State Orange Crushers exceeded their goal by raising more than $3,700 in donations at the 2019 Special Olympics Polar Plunge in Woodlawn Beach and were recognized with the Best College Team Award. 

The Buffalo State Orange Crushers Team is co-sponsored by Buffalo State Best Buddies and the Student Council for Exceptional Children. They were supported by the Exceptional Education Department and United Students Government. Thank you to all who donated or participated.
