Attention, students, faculty, staff, and community members who live in the neighborhood near Buffalo State (Elmwood, Forest, Grant, and Potomac boundaries): Buffalo State will host the first Community Meet and Greet event on Saturday, August 31, from noon to 4:00 p.m. in the Buffalo History Museum's Resource Center, located at 459 Forest Avenue. RSVP is required. You may fill out the online RSVP form.
The event will provide food, fun, information, and entertainment for all ages, including families with small children. Our goal is to allow students and residents the opportunity to get to know one another in a safe and positive environment.
The Community Meet and Greet provides an opportunity to better connect our campus and students with the City of Buffalo, its residents, and fellow neighbors. If you have any questions, please contact Paula Madrigal, coordinator of health education programs, ext. 4719. If you or someone you know lives in this community, please consider joining us and sharing this information about this amazing new event!
Students who live in this neighborhood and RSVP before August 30 will receive a free Welcome Kit, which includes a variety of items and information useful to first-time renters. Kits are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
