Buffalo State Dining: Project Clean Plate

Project Clean Plate is a Chartwells program that provides awareness of international hunger and helps students focus globally and act locally to combat hunger, reduce waste, save energy, and initiate real change. Clean Plate is designed to reduce overall food waste in Buffalo State's all-you-can-eat dining operation Bengal Hall.

Project Clean Plate began during the fall semester by monitoring plates at the tray disposal area during select meal periods. Results were gathered, and as a result of Project Clean Plate, Buffalo State Dining was able to cut their food waste in half with the help of our customers. We feel that this is a grass-roots effort to reduce food waste at the consumer level in order to negate global food shortages.

Join Buffalo State Dining today in Bengal Hall, resident dining located in the Campbell Student Union, from noon to 2:00 p.m. for the first Clean Plate party of the semester. Take part in a movement that will help fight hunger and reduce waste.

Enter with a meal swipe or door price of $8.39.
