Posted: Monday, March 14, 2011Bengal 5K Scholarship Run on Saturday: Details for Campus Community
The Buffalo State Alumni Association is hosting the 14th annual Bengal 5k Scholarship Run this Saturday, March 19, at 9:00 a.m. There will be a small disruption in campus parking on Saturday morning. The race will be cutting through campus up Rockwell Road, affecting Lots A, B, F, and G. This interruption will last approximately one hour, from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. The Alumni Association apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
Net proceeds generated from the race go to the Buffalo State Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship and the Armed Services Scholarship.
The Legacy Scholarship Fund secures educational funding for lineal descendants of Buffalo State alumni. The Armed Services Scholarship provides funding for student veterans at Buffalo State.
Patrons may also sponsor a runner at www.active.com/donate/buffalostate to contribute to the scholarship of your choice. Volunteers are also needed to make this event successful. Interested volunteers should send an e-mail to beardlw@buffalostate.edu.
