Banner will replace STARS as the official system of record at Buffalo State the first week of August. While the Banner implementation team will be busy finalizing the transition over the next few weeks, Banner is still on track for summer grading.
Early in the transition, access to some of the reports that you may be used to getting from STARS will be limited. Reports that were deemed most critical based on survey responses from faculty and staff will be prepared first. If you need a specific report(s), send a detailed message torequest@buffalostate.edu. If there is an equivalent report that you used to get from STARS, please reference the report by name or number.
Banner Support will offer training classes to help in the transition. See the CyberQuad registration page for class schedules. If you would like one-on-one training, please contact Banner Support, 878-3434. Please do not contact the Registrar’s, Financial Aid, or Admissions offices for Banner training unless directed to do so by those offices. Most “how to” questions should go to Banner Support unless they are questions that you have routinely asked one of the Enrollment Management offices in the past.
Banner Support expects issues to arise during the transition period. Please direct all queries and requests for help to Banner Support, 878-3434. Be assured that all questions will receive a reply. E-mail or voice mail messages will normally receive a response within an hour or two.
