Arbor Day Celebration at the Burchfield Penney

Join the Burchfield Penney on Thursday, April 28, for two events commemorating Arbor Day. From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Studio Classroom, the museum will host a Trash Origami Workshop led by Dennis Piatkowski of Buffalo State. All supplies will be provided.

At 7:00 p.m., the Burchfield Penney Art Center and the Western New York Land Conservancy invite you to attend a community discussion with panelists Darren Kempner, deputy commissioner, Erie County Department of Environment and Planning; Loren Smith, executive director, Buffalo Audubon Society; Joseph Territo, arborist; Olmsted Parks Conservancy; Sharon Webber, board president, Grassroots Gardens; and Margaret Wooster, author and habitat planner for Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper.

Both events are free and open to the public.
