April Is National Financial Literacy Month

National Financial Literacy Month is recognized in April to encourage Americans to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices. The theme for 2015 is "Financial Wellness 2.0."

Financial wellness is the balance between having a financially healthy state of well-being today while preparing for tomorrow. Focusing on this theme, the following events are available this month to all employees:

Financial IQ Challenge
In special recognition of National Financial Literacy Month for 2015, SUNY will host an interactive Financial IQ (FIQ) Challenge for all SUNY employees. The FIQ Challenge is a daily five-question quiz available throughout the month of April. Taking the challenge each day results in an entry for a chance to win one of five tablet computers. Winners will be selected in early May.

The SUNY Benefits page also offers a variety of financial education and planning tools.
