Alternative Break: Thanksgiving Dessert Fundraiser

The Volunteer and Service-Learning Center’s Alternative Break Student Leadership Team is preparing  three homemade dessert options—apple pie, chocolate peanut butter pie, and pumpkin pie fudge—just in time for your Thanksgiving celebration. All desserts will be made with high-quality signature ingredients by members of the team.

Suggested prices are as follows:

  • Apple pie: $8
Made with locally sourced organic apples
  • Chocolate peanut butter pie: $10
Made with a graham cracker crust and homemade chocolate spread
  • Pumpkin pie fudge: $3 for one-quarter pound or $10 for 1 pound
    Made with real pumpkin

Thanksgiving Dessert Fundraiser orders may be submitted online by Monday, November 9. Faculty and staff members may pick up their desserts or have them delivered to their office on Monday, November 23. Payment will be required upon delivery or pickup.

Alternative Break trip experiences take place during fall, winter, February, spring, and summer breaks. This program allows students to volunteer with nonprofit organizations to meet community-identified needs throughout the country. The experiences give students an opportunity to learn about social issues, serve communities, build teamwork and leadership skills, and meet new friends. Learn more about the VSLC's Alternative Break program and the Alternative Break Student Leadership Team on the VSLC website.
