Alan Lockwood, professor emeritus of neurology at the University at Buffalo and a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility, will present "Air Pollution: Past, Present, and Future" on Tuesday, October 20, at 7:00 p.m. in Classroom Building A209. He will frame his presentation around the provisions of the Clean Air Act, which has virtually eliminated lead and made steep inroads with regard to other criteria pollutants: oxides of nitrogen and sulfur, particulates, and ozone. Climate change has important implications for the future of air pollution, particularly with regard to ozone. This presentation is part of the WNY Chapter of the American Meteorological Societys fall 2015 seminar series, hosted by the Buffalo State Geography and Planning Department's meteorology and climatology program.
