About the Festival
AFP’s annual festival is an experiential exchange of ideas with a focus on processing theory into practice. We share diverse performances, workshops, and exhibits that actively engage participants in kinesthetic learning opportunities that connect to the festival's theme, AFP's mission, and the story of Anne Frank.

Our Theme
The Anne Frank Project’s 13th annual social justice festival supports the theme for the 150th anniversary of SUNY Buffalo State: “Believe. Inspire. Achieve.” These three words symbolize the story line of our students’ journey through college and the people and experiences that strengthen them. The workshops, artwork, and speakers at AFP 2021 will focus this story line through the lens of social justice: Who or what pushes us toward excellence amidst the multiple odds and obstacles against us? This year’s festival seeks multidisciplinary workshops and artworks that define and expose the Belief and Inspiration required to Achieve an improved world.
