Zhang Jie, SUNY Distinguished Professor of Sociology and director of Buffalo State’s Center for China Studies, published the article "Economic Development and Gender Ratio Change in Chinese Suicide Rates (1990–2017)" in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health 19 (23): 15606. The article’s coauthors were Juncheng Lyu and Dorian A. Lamis. Dr. Juncheng Lyu was a visiting scholar to Buffalo State University in 2022–2023.
