Daniel Vélez, associate vice president for student success, was recognized for his work in the field of education and his numerous contributions to the Latino community at the City of Buffalo’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Tuesday, October 15, in City Hall. Every year, Mayor Byron Brown highlights the contributions made by members of the community in various fields. This year's honorees were from the field of education.
