Howard Payne, lecturer in the Engineering Technology Department, received a community service award from Southeast Works on behalf of the Engineering Technology Department at Buffalo State for work done by the TEC 405W Manufacturing Technology class under his leadership for the past 10 years. Southeast Works is a Western New York organization that works with developmentally disabled adults in performing light industrial work for local businesses. The Community Partner of the Year Award is presented to individuals and organizations to recognize outstanding contributions to Southeast Works, their mission, and their clients. Payne and his students contribute to the local community by applying practical solutions based on their technical education obtained at Buffalo State.
