Wendy S. Mornelli, Senior Manager of Applied Research and Training, and Robin G. Coffey, Senior Training Coordinator, ICHP/LEADS; and Catherine Mazzotta, Assistant Professor, Social Work

Wendy Mornelli, senior manager of applied research and training, and Robin Coffey, senior training coordinator, with the Institute for Community Health Promotion/Learning, Engagement, and Development Services (ICHP/LEADS), presented at the New York Public Welfare Association Winter Conference in Albany on January 22. The presentation focused on self-care, organizational supports for self-care, and the importance of self-care, especially for human services professionals, and was based on a literature review and some limited data gathering from social service districts within New York state. LEADS partnered with Catherine Mazzotta, assistant professor of social work at Buffalo State, who served as the lead researcher and primary author of the related white paper, "Worker Self-Care as a Service Delivery Best Practice." The research, paper, and conference presentation were sponsored by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
