Tamara McMillan, associate director of student life for leadership, received the Emerging Leader Award from the WNY ACE Network for Women Leaders in Higher Education during the organization's annual conference, "Women's Empowerment: Empowering Ourselves," on April 26.
McMillan was also named Professional of Month by the Community Action Organization (CAO) on May 3. She was recognized for being a trailblazer in higher education and serving as a community role model.
