Susan Maguire, Lecturer, Anthropology, and Elizabeth Peña, Director and Professor, Art Conservation

Susan Maguire, lecturer, Anthropology, and Elizabeth Peña, director and professor, Art Conservation, presented papers at the 42nd annual conference of the Society for Historical Archaeology in Toronto, Ontario, January 7–11. Both were based on their research at Old Fort Niagara, in Youngstown, New York. Maguire’s paper, “Military Provisioning of the Niagara Frontier during the Early Nineteenth Century,” focused on supplies to the fort during the War of 1812, while Peña examined the struggles to obtain adequate supplies for Old Fort Niagara in her paper, “So Much Damaged Provision: Supplying the Eighteenth-Century Niagara Frontier.”
