Susan Keller-Mathers, associate professor, creative studies, led a daylong series of workshops, Building Creative Capacity, at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, for higher education faculty and staff on September 1. Keller-Mathers delivered the keynote address, “Building Creative Capacity in the 21st Century,” which was followed by several workshops facilitated by a team of nine graduate students pursuing a master of science in creativity at Buffalo State. The team from Creative Studies, consisting of professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds and occupations, included Jane Dasher, Marta Davidovich Ockuly, Maisha Drayton, Kathysue Dorey Pohrte, John D. Logal, Ismet Mamnoon, Bonnie McKee, Catherine Skora, and Jenna M. Smith. In addition to serving as facilitators, these professionals presented information and research in the field of creative teaching and learning in higher education in a poster session.
