Zhang Jie, professor of sociology and director of the Center for China Studies, published his article "The Association between Depression and Suicide When Hopelessness Is Controlled For," coauthored with Li Ziyao, in the journal Comprehensive Psychiatry 54 (7): 790–796. Li was a visiting scholar at Buffalo State in 2011–2012.
