Dan MacIsaac and Kathleen Falconer were invited keynote presenters for Physics Day 2013 at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Alberta, December 5 and 6. They delivered three presentations—Using the Reformed Teaching Observation Protocol with K–12 Mathematics Classrooms; Learning Trajectories: Fostering Learning of Introductory Physics via Student Interactions; and Fostering Learning of Introductory Physics via Intensive Student Discourse—as guests of the Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (CMASTE), the Departments of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Alberta, and the Alberta–British Columbia Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers.
