Leslie K. Day, Assistant Chair for Undergraduate Programs, Elementary Education and Reading

Leslie K. Day, lecturer and assistant chair for undergraduate programs in the Elementary Education and Reading Department, will be the keynote speaker on Friday, October 2, at the SUNY College at Brockport, where she will share her expertise on developing effective school-university partnerships. Day's hard work and creative force has been behind Buffalo State's nationally recognized Professional Development Schools Consortium. Her address to Rochester-area colleges and their school partner districts will launch a day of discovery on leveraging high-impact practices in school-university partnerships. The PDS was a significant factor in Buffalo State's successful Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement and in securing federal Race to the Top funds naming Buffalo State the SUNY Western Regional Center for Innovation in Education. The conference runs from 8:15 a.m. to noon in the Liberal Arts Building.
