A paper by Julian Cole, assistant professor, Philosophy and Humanities, titled “Creativity, Freedom, and Authority: A New Perspective on the Metaphysics of Mathematics,” will be published in the Australasian Journal of Philosophy. Cole also has contributed a chapter, “Mathematical Domains: Social Constructs?” to the book Proof and Other Dilemmas: Mathematics and Philosophy, (Bonnie Gold and Roger Simons, eds.; pp. 109–128; Mathematical Association of America, 2008).
