Bridget Chesterton, Associate Professor, History and Social Studies Education

Bridget María Chesterton, associate professor of history and social studies education, will participate in an invited roundtable discussion, "Soft Coups? Comparing Recent Events in Brazil, Honduras, and Paraguay," on Monday, May 9, at York University in Toronto. Discussants will be Mariana Mota Prado, associate dean of graduate studies in the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law; Juan Marsiaj, lecturer of Latin American studies and political science at the University of Toronto; Luisa Schwartzman, assistant professor of sociology at the University of Toronto; and Raul Burbano, program director for Common Frontiers. The discussion will be moderated by Gillian McGillivray, associate professor of history at York University's Glendon College.
