Brianna Plummer, assistant professor of fashion and textile technology, won two international awards at the annual International Textile and Apparel Conference held this month in Vancouver, Canada. The Alvanon Award for Creative Design was presented to Plummer for her design work called "Origami Transformation" in which a top, skirt, and purse can be packaged in a compact unit, then brought out to be worn. The ATEX Award for Innovation in Textile Instruction was shared with her major professor, Dr. Eulanda Sanders of Iowa State University, for their submission "Practical Application of Half-Scale Patterning for Online Digital Textile Design Procedures."
