13th Annual Faculty and Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum a Great Success

Displays from 186 participants filled Houston Gym during the 13th annual Faculty and Staff Research and Creativity Fall Forum on Thursday, October 25. Several of the projects included collaborations among faculty and administrators, undergraduate and graduate student partners, individuals from other universities, and business partners—both within the United States and internationally. Several projects contain elements in support of Buffalo State’s Year of the City theme.

A continuing goal of this event is to develop, encourage, and support the research and creativity of Buffalo State faculty and staff and to make collaborative research endeavors and grantsmanship more accessible. The forum brings the Buffalo State community together to share the significant, adventurous, and potentially groundbreaking work its members have been engaged in over recent months. It is truly an inspiring display of the intellectual and creative power of Buffalo State.

The event is highly regarded by faculty members as a venue to learn of scholarly endeavors of colleagues. Lori Till, associate professor of hospitality and tourism, said, “I always look forward to participating in this event, as this does give faculty and staff an opportunity to showcase their research interests to both their colleagues as well as students. In addition, this is also a wonderful opportunity for faculty and staff to see one another in such a positive setting.”

An electronic copy of the program booklet from this year’s participants is available on the Research Foundation’s website.
