Where Watercolor Meets Photography: October 3

How do artists decide what to paint from the myriad of images around us? Learn how Carl Borowicz sees through the camera lens and Suzanne Borowicz artfully looks for composition, light, and textures in the photographs during this watercolor workshop on Saturday, October 3, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Participants will have a hands-on experience taking pictures and using the images as inspiration for a watercolor.

Suzanne and Carl Borowicz are a wife-and-husband team who have been collaborating for the past 47 years. Suzanne is a watercolor painter who likes experimenting with the medium to express her interpretation of the world. Carl enjoys looking at life through the camera lens and representing his experiences through the photographic image.

$36 for members/$46 for not-yet members. Part of the International Center for Watercolor.

To register, please contact Kathy Gaye Shiroki, curator of museum learning and community engagement, 878-3549, or download the registration form (PDF) from the Burchfield Penney website.
