Update on Student Housing: New Apartment Complex Nears Completion

From the Vice President for Finance and Management
Construction on Buffalo State’s new apartment complex for student living, located at Letchworth and Grant streets, is approaching completion. The finished complex is scheduled to be turned over to the campus next month, ahead of schedule and under its budgeted cost. A popular choice among students, the complex has been fully assigned for fall 2011 occupancy.

Consisting of three wings of varying heights, the apartment-style complex will add 500 beds to the campus’s residential capacity. Each of the 125 apartments offers four single bedrooms, two full baths, and a full kitchen and living room. Amenities include cable television and Internet access, air conditioning, and free laundry facilities. Please visit the Residence Life Office website to view images of the apartments or to take a virtual tour.

The student apartment complex was developed by the Buffalo State College Foundation Housing Corporation with the support of the Buffalo State College Foundation and the Buffalo State Alumni Association. The campus extends its gratitude and appreciation to the volunteer leaders who have devoted their time and expertise to the project, Cannon Design architects, LPCiminelli construction managers, and the many Buffalo State staff members who have contributed to the successful completion of the complex.
