Tell Students: Information Session for the Rangel International Affairs Programs and Summer and Graduate Fellowships - September 8

Students from all majors are invited to attend an information session for the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Programs and the Donald M. Payne International Development Fellowship with Patricia Scroggs, director of the Rangel International Affairs Program at Howard University, on Thursday, September 8, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Classroom Building A307. Refreshments will be served. RSVP to Kyeonghi Baek, associate professor of political science.

Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program

  • Up to $95,000 over two years to cover master’s degree and internships
  • Internships on Capitol Hill and overseas at U.S. embassies or consulates
  • Employment with State Department Foreign Service upon completion of graduate studies

Eligibility: U.S. citizenship; senior or recent graduate applying for graduate school; minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.

Rangel Undergraduate International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program

  • Six-week program at Howard University to prepare for career in international affairs
  • Two for-credit courses plus visits and meetings with professionals to explore international careers
  • Covers room, board, tuition, transportation, and provides $3,200 stipend

Eligibility: U.S. citizenship; full-time undergraduate student with at least sophomore standing and a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA.

USAID Payne International Development Graduate Fellowship Program

  • Up to $93,000 over two years to cover two-year master’s degree and internships
  • Internships on Capitol Hill and overseas at a USAID mission
  • Employment with the USAID Foreign Service upon completion of graduate studies

Eligibility: U.S. citizenship; senior or recent graduate applying for graduate school; minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
