Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day: April 27

Buffalo State University and its employees will participate in the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, sponsored by the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Foundation and Buffalo State’s chapter of United University Professions, on Thursday, April 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Buffalo State and its employees invite their daughters, sons, relatives, friends, and other sponsored children between the ages of 6 to 13 to attend. The children will participate in interactive learning activities, guiding and developing them toward a future where they can participate fully in work, family, and community. Activities will include a visit to the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium, a “Who Dunnit?” experiment with forensic chemistry, and STEM Bend Story Time, among others.

Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by their parents at all times. Children 8 and older may be supervised by the activity leaders with the leaders’ consent.

For full details and to sign up, please complete the online registration form no later than Friday, April 7. We welcome volunteers, so if you can help support our day’s activities, or if you have questions, please contact Kathy Doody, associate professor of exceptional education.
