Record Number of Raffle Prizes at the Corn Fest

Colleagues and corn-festers,
Between gift certificates and clever baskets, we have an abundance of raffle items for this year's PSC Corn Fest on Wednesday, July 20. To expedite matters, if you would like to purchase sheets of raffle tickets (NOT 50/50)  in advance at $5 a sheet, please contact Terri Locher, facilities procurement coordinator, 878-5012.

The last day for $6 advance-sale Corn Fest tickets is noon on Monday, July 18. Tickets will be $8 at the door (Perry Quad or Campbell Union Social Hall if raining) on July 20. Only advance-sale ticket holders will be eligible for the surplus corn giveaway. Winners posted at registration. All ticket holders are eligible for two special door prizes to be announced at the beginning of the raffle selection. Raffle selection will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.

We have two high-value donations this year: golf lessons (priceless!) or teeth whitening ($350 value from WNY Dental in Blasdell). Chances at $1 each; details at the Corn Fest.

Tickets for the 50/50 split will be 10 for $5 and will be offered at tables during lunch. Last year's winner bought a lovely watch.

We will be selling T-shirts for $20, and proceeds will go directly to the PSC scholarship fund. Thanks to Pam Voyer, stewardship and special projects officer in Institutional Advancement, for arranging this. These comfy cotton black shirts with an orange bengal on the side were a hit at the corporate challenge. Sizes up to 3XL.

Thanks to our committee: Jude Jayatilleke (chair), Josie Adamo, Todd Benzin, Paul Bentkowski, Maria Brickhouse, Claire Collier, Sean Connors, Stephanie Kindzia, Terri Locher, Bonnie McKay, Lea Nuwer, Amy Rosen-Brand, Deb Sarratori, Nicole Scaccia, and MaryBeth Wojtaszek.
