The African and African American Studies Interdisciplinary Unit is pleased to welcome John Olszowka, associate professor and chair of the History Department at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, who will present "Race, Hollywood, and the #OscarsSoWhite Controversy" during Bengal Pause (12:15–1:30 p.m.) on Thursday, November 10, in Bulger Communication Center West 2.

Dr. Olszowka, an alumnus of Buffalo State (M.A. history, 1992), is a specialist in labor history with a focus on the aircraft industry in the Buffalo Niagara region.
