In the context of the exhibition LeRoi: Living in Color, currently on view in the Burchfield Penney Art Center, distinguished art scholar Gregorio Luke will present the lecture “Picasso and African Art” on Tuesday, March 21, at 6:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney’s Tower Auditorium. Mr. Luke will discuss Pablo Picasso’s life and career, with a special emphasis on the debt owed to African art, not only by Picasso but by all of modern art. Mr. Luke will lead a public tour of the award-winning exhibition the following afternoon, Wednesday, March 22, at noon. Both events are free and open to the public.
